after researching I’ve sourced a few fabric mills to work with to create some samples. thanks to my resources back when I assisted the fabric buyer for a known designer, I’ve chosen some solid silk suppliers based in the garment district. while it’s a bit more on the spency side, the convenience of location to see the fabrics firsthand is essential. The garment district is a few blocks radius but it still hosts some old school companies that have been in the business for years. I’m also excited to have found a seamstress to work with and make some samples. once we get that going I’ll be able to bring my made samples forward to factories to see who can replicate the same job in bulk. every step of the way I’m doubting my actions but still moving forward. the excitement is just too good and I really this is going to be something special. x
